Purpose

The ISDP is an international organization founded in 1968 for the purpose of encouraging research on the development of behavior in all organisms including humans, with special attention to the effects of biological factors operating at any level of organization. Membership benefits include an online journal subscription to Developmental Psychobiology (for ALL members) and discounted registration at the annual meeting, which is normally preceding and co-located with the Annual Meeting of the Society of Neuroscience (SfN). The next meeting is November 10-12, 2021 at the Swissôtel Chicago, on the SfN hotel shuttle route, an award-winning luxury hotel overlooking the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, and just steps from the Magnificent Mile, an all-glass hotel offers spectacular wrap-around views from Navy Pier to Millennium Park, www.isdp.org/current.

The Annual Meetings usually attract 260 – 350 participants. Last year was the first Virtual Meeting, with an attendance of 333 participants from 24 countries. We are planning for an in-person meeting in November, 2021, but will also include a virtual option for those who are either not able to travel or just not quite ready to travel again.
