Sonya Troller-Renfree, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she directs the Stroller Lab. Her research examines how early experiences, including poverty, stress, and caregiving environments, shape children’s brain development, learning, and socioemotional functioning. Using developmental neuroscience methods, including EEG and longitudinal research designs, Her work seeks to identify how early environments become biologically embedded and how neuroscience can inform interventions and policies that support children and families.
