Laurel Gabard-Durnam is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, Director of the Plasticity in Neuroscience (PINE) Lab, and faculty in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University. Her research examines how neuroplasticity changes over human development and interacts with experiences to shape brain and behavior from infancy through adolescence. She also develops new methods and software for measuring brain activity via electroencephalography (EEG). Her research program is highly-collaborative, with research partnerships over 6 continents to understand neuroplasticity changes at global scales. She has authored 47 journal articles, 5 software packages, and her research program has been supported by the NIH, NSF, Welcome Leap Program, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
