The International Society for Developmental Psychobiology Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is seeking early-career (undergraduate – assistant professor level) investigators from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities and/or doing work on historically marginalized and underrepresented communities to apply for consideration to be part of our second annual committee-sponsored symposium submission for the 2025 Annual Meeting (San Diego, CA Nov. 12th-14th). Topics may vary broadly across the spectrum of developmental psychobiology and represent cellular, animal, and/or human models. We welcome submissions related to:
- Intergenerational transmission of trauma
- Intergenerational transmission of the biopsychosocial impacts of racism and discrimination
- Intergenerational transmission of resilience
- Caregiver behaviors and impact on child development / mental health
- Community-level factors influencing child development / mental health from a historical lens
To apply, please submit a 250-word abstract, CV, and complete this cover sheet by Wednesday, March 26th. Selected individuals will be notified by Friday, March 28th. Selection does not guarantee presentation at the annual meeting; we will submit the symposium application on Monday, March 31st.
