Symposium Proposal Submission

51st Annual Meeting of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology

October 31 – November 2, 2018
Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, San Diego, USA

Symposia submissions for the ISDP 2018 Annual Meeting
are due April 1, 2018, 11:59 GMT -5

SUBMISSION SITE WILL OPEN FEBRUARY 1, 2018

We are particularly interested in proposals that are likely to stimulate formal and informal discussion. Although the inclusion of a discussant is not a requirement, there should be integration of topics across the individual speakers. At least one speaker must be an ISDP member and speakers must represent different laboratories and locations.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Interest to ISDP members
  2. Innovation and novelty, including cross-disciplinary topics
  3. Reputation, country and diversity of speakers
  4. Likelihood that the symposium will generate discussion and/or stimulate fruitful interactions

Symposium speakers may be asked to help judge poster sessions.

One symposium will be awarded a Sackler Award to defray costs of attendance of symposium speakers. Registration costs will be waived for all symposium speakers who are not members of ISDP.

Proposal applications should include the following information:

1. Symposium title
2. A short (250 words), integrative abstract outlining the theme of the symposium (see example below)
3. Speakers names and affiliations
4. A brief summary of each speaker’s presentation and a tentative title (250 words each)
